Racial Profile Essay
How would you feel if you got pulled over while driving, or got kicked off from your airline because of your race? This is a tactic that law enforcement agencies usecalled Racial Profiling. It is a big issue in urban society, even though it is not much talked about in the news. It is still a big problem in urban societies. This is not much an issue in the whiteareas but a well known phenomena in black communities. For more than half of this century it was police that enforced the Jim Law in this country, but discrimination is still an issue even after the CivilRight Movement. The biggest increase of Racial Profiling was after the september 11, 2001 attacks on America. Profiling against Arabs has grown and some time it is Racial. Profiling is good, but whenit becomes Racial Profiling it is wrong. Profiling is a problem, this problem reveals that this tactic is not just profiling on post history of this persons actions, but it has becomes RacialProfiling and it has to be eliminated.
Profiling is when some one follows you or have suspicious because of past history, and the think that you have something or done something. Racial Profiling iswhen race becomes involved in the profiling process, they automatically think that you have done criminal activity, or have something and it is not because of past actions, but by race.
The policemade up this tactic that they call profiling to catch recent criminals, and the mostly say that this tactic has absolutely have nothing to do with race. The police refer to this practice of matchingcharacteristics to a criminal as profiling, thought the public calls it racial profiling because it is usually only minorities. They not only use this tactic on the streets but in the courts too. Thepolice use many excuses, and they think it is in their right to stop a person with very low reason to stop them. Why do they use this profiling tactic? Because they think most criminals are minorities...
