Reaching Maximum Efficiency; Is It Really Good?

REACHING MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY OF ORGANIZATIONS..
IS IT REALLY GOOD FOR THE WORLD?

Everyday a worker is driven and motivated by other or by himself to reach the highest performance in his jobwhatever it is, could be a machinist, an office assistant, a general manager or even an entrepreneur.. everybody knows that the companies requires all the employees to do that because if they´re notefficient, the competitors will be more efficient, and they will produce more, sell more and increase the market share at the point that our market share will be reduced in a way that can lead us to thebankruptcy.
But has someone stopped for a while to think why did we get here? ..a simply answer could be that the world is in a race to improve the life quality with the daily innovations that help ussatisfy our needs: An improved new TV, a new computer, extraordinary medical advances, new environmental technologies, nice clothes etc.
Then, is the quality life better with all this stuff? Yeseverybody will answer! As someone simply said “It is better to be rich than poor!” and it´s better to have all this stuff than don´t! ..but Isn´t it a dilemma: Life quality through life quality dailysacrifice.. because of what? of course, the maximum efficiency! ..So, is reaching the maximum efficiency really good for the world?
Everything is involved in a model where the smallest componentdepends on the next level of “clients” and the next depends on the next, and so on, until the highest level that governs everything. The problem is that the highest level doesn´t exist clearly, so isa mixed of requirements and interests, so, if the “client” requirements aren´t clear enough, the products and services won´t be good enough to satisfy them.. perhaps the client human being doesn´twant all the amenities that is producing the world but wants to live his life with goals and but in a cool way..
