The adventurer whom I admire is Edward “Bear” Grylls. He is 36 years old and he was born in Great Britain. He is known for his television series“Ultimate Survival” on the Discovery Channel. He has been working in his program for 7 years. When he was a child, he used to climb mountains with his father. He isthe youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest, doing so at age 23.
In his television series, he usually travels at a wild place on earth and he try tosurvive using what is in nature. For example, he has already been in Sahara desert, a lot of rainforest, huge mountains or really enormous glaciers. When heis in one of his adventures, he normally is launched from a plane and he tries to find a way to get to the civilization.
When he was in Africa, he had tocoexist with aggressive animals like elephants, lions or hippos. One night he went to sleep (on a top of a tree) in an area surrounded by zebras. By thetime he got up the next morning, one zebra had been eaten by the lions. He was hungry and he had to eat raw zebra meat. Another expedition was when hetravelled to the Kimberley desert in Australia. He was thirsty and he had no water. He had to drink his own pee.
I think those kind of shows can be importantbecause they try to teach you to face risk situations that can happen in your life.
In conclusion, I want to say that I would like to know how tosurvive in dangerous places and to do all those things that allow you survive like eat live worms, hunt animals, climb mountains or find potable water.
