Michael Phelps was born on June 30, 1985 in Baltimore. his is a retired American swimmer and the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a total of 22 medals.Plus, he holds the all-time records for Olympic gold medals 19 in total and 13 from individual events for male.
Winner of 8 gold medals in Beijing, Phelps took the record for the first-place finishesat any single Olympic Games. Five of those victories were in individual events, tying the single games record. In London he won 4 gold and two silver medals, making him the most successful athlete ofthe games for the third Olympics in a row.
