Do you feel you areat an adequate age to date? Why/ Why not?



Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind it doesn’t matter. - Mark Twain

I do not believe there is such a thing as the“right age” to Date; however I do think there should be some level of maturity, most of all emotional.

Emotional availability, I think should be the top factor considered when starting todate. When you start dating you must be sure that your emotions are in control and at your disposal.

But here in the Dominican Republic, dating is not such an open subject between teensand parents. Here, I actually consider dating doesn’t exists, because I consider it to go out socially on dates, when you are dating someone you haven’t made it something emotionally intimate orpublic. Here in Dominican Republic when you’re a teen and you start “dating someone” he or she is your girlfriend or boyfriend. And since La Romana is such a small city almost everyone knows everyone, or"knows someone who knows someone”, that you can only keep something private for some time.

I think what defines your availability to date is your personality and surroundings.

Doyou feel that dating affects your relationship with your friends and family? How? Explain the consequences



Yes. It depends, on the level of dating. Is it one person? Or are there more?Is he or her/ are they on your same circle of friends? Is your family comfortable with the fact that you are dating? Or are they against it?

I believe it can affect your previousrelationship (friends and family) in both good and bad ways. It all depends on the person or the people who you are dating. Their interests, their acquaintances, their activities and intellectual are all...
