RESÚMEN
Los Estudios Internacionales son una ciencia multidisciplinaria que persigue la observación, análisis y proyección de problemas o realidades de repercusión internacional, es considerada como una ciencia social gracias a queestudia el desenvolvimiento del ser humano en su entorno, desde una perspectiva global. Este ensayo tiene por objetivo favorecer el conocimiento del lector con respecto a los Estudios Internacionales como disciplina científica, su desarrollo y autonomía, su comparación con la Ciencia Política, y las diferencias entre los programas de estudio de esta misma carrera en distintas instituciones. LosEstudios Internacionales son una ciencia con origen principalmente americano, que alcanzó su autonomía después de la Segunda Guerra mundial con la delimitación precisa de su campo de estudio, el plan de estudio de esta carrera puede variar de acuerdo a la institución donde se imparta, a pesar de que tiene similitud con otras ciencias sociales respecto a su campo de estudio, siempre se va adiferenciar entre otras cosas por su objetivo y las cualidades de los elementos que la conforman como disciplina científica.

International Studies is a multidisciplinary science that pursues the observation, analysis and forecasting of problems or realities of international significance, is considered as a social science by studying the development of human beings in their environment, from a global perspective. This essay aims to promote knowledge of the reader with respect to the International Studies as adiscipline, its development and autonomy, compared to political science, and differences between the programs of study in this same race in different institutions. International Studies is an American science mainly origin, which reached its independence after World War II with the accuracy of their field of study, the curriculum of this race may vary according to the institution where it is given,though that has similarities with other social sciences about their field of study, always will differentiate among other things, its purpose and the qualities of the elements that constitute it as a scientific discipline.
