Relationships between China and Japan.

Most people whenever they see an Asian person from any Asian country often define them as Chinese. There are many differences between all these countries, such as, language, geographic location, economy, politics, and historical background. The theme that is going to be discussed will be the relationships between two strong countries:China and Japan. First of all, it is important to know their location in the whole world: China’s capital city is Pekin better known as Beijing and is located in the east of the Asian continent, on the western shore of the Pacific Ocean, bordering the East China Sea, Korea Bay, Yellow Sea, and South China Sea. China is also the third largest country in the world after Russia and Canada. On thecontrary, Japan’s capital city is Tokyo and is also located in the east of Asia; is an archipelago, which means a large group of islands, is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the north and east, by the Philippine Sea and the East China Sea to the south and by the East Sea on the west. On the other hand, it is undoubtedly important to know the differences between them because people often think they arerelated to each other or even say is the same to define a Japanese as a Chinese but what most people do not know is that they have a lot of differences and for consequent many similitudes. China and Japan are economically and politically different and this is what will be discussed.

China and Japan are countries economically very strong. First of all, China is the world’s secondlargest economy after United States, also it is the world's fastest-growing major economy, with growth rates averaging 10% over the past 30 years, it means that China started capacitating its people, supporting them to finally get a growth in its economy by producing and not by buying. China's influence in the world economy was minimal until the late 1980’s when the firsts economic reforms appearedafter 1978 giving an opportunity to generate significant opportunities in investment, consumption and standards of living. These economic reforms called Socialism with Chinese Characteristics introduced the capitalist market, which was carried out in two stages: the first stage which was from 1970 to 1980, involved the collectivization of agriculture, an opening country to foreign investments and apermission for entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. The second stage, which was from 1980 to 1990, involved the privatization of much state-owned industry and the lifting of price controls, protectionist policies, and regulations, although the petroleum and banking sectors remained. In the 1949 revolution, where took place the end of the military conflict, China's economic system wasofficially made into a communist system but because of these economic reforms it moved from a communist system to a capitalist system. On the other hand, Japan’s economy is the third largest national economy in the world after United States and China with the Japanese Yen as its currency, and is the world's second largest developed economy. Also, Japan is the world's third largest automobilemanufacturing country as a result of having the largest electronics industry and as a consequence, Japan is often ranked as one of the most innovative countries in the whole world. Japan is hardly competing with China and South Korea in the high-tech sector, such as: optical equipment, hybrid cars and robotics. Pursuing this further, Japan has inadequate natural resources to support its growing economy andlarge population. Japan decided not to exploit its forest resources for economic gain due to political decisions. Therefore, Japan built up the manufacturing and processing industries to convert raw materials imported from abroad. This strategy of economic development needed the establishment of a strong economic infrastructure to provide the needed energy, transportation, communications, and...
