STEP 1.
CHECK VOLTAGE AND POLARITY (+, -):
Check Polarity (+,-): Make sure you have identified the positive and negative terminals of the tool
battery (the battery you want to repair through RVDprocess). You can see a "-" and "+" on tool
battery terminal. If you can't see them, use multimeter. Sometimes NiCd battery has more then 2
terminals, if this is the case, then you have to subjectonly 2 terminals that register voltage to the
RVD process.
PLEASE NOTE RVD WILL NOT WORK IF PERFORMED BACKWARD.

STEP2.
ARRANGE POWER SOURCE (To charge dead batteries ranging from 1.2 Volts to 12 Volts )
Locate the power sourceaccording to your requirement. To charge dead batteries ranging from 1.2
Volts to 12 Volts, you can use a 12V battery as a power source for the RVD process.

HOW TO FIX YOUR NiCd BATTERY
Connecting Cables (Figure "A")
Follow the steps below in the order described, to connect the cables. You can use alligator
clamp or electrictape to hold the wire on power battery. Cables should be stripped on the
ends.
1) Connect one end of a piece of cable (shown as black in Figure "A") to the negative terminal
on the dead battery.Connect the other end of this cable to the negative (-) terminal on the
live battery (or your power source).
2) Connect another piece of cable (shown as red in Figure "A") to the positive terminal (+) onthe live battery (or your power source). Hold the other end of this cable for the RVD process,
close to the positive (+) terminal of the dead NiCd battery.
You are now ready for RVD process.
Beextra careful when connecting cables because the charge that emits from a fully charged
battery will cause spark or shock if the cable ends come in contact by accident.
