When Gilgamesh felt asleep by my side, he was dreaming.. dreaming about being defeated by Humbaba. He was loosing all of his hope and started to feel fear each minute more and more.When I felt asleep and had a dream it was about victory and success. What does this mean? Even thought I was at first scared and Gilgamesh was the one who seem fearless and decided on what he neededto do he was pretending. As soon as he was sleeping he let all of his insecurities out and how did he do it? By dreaming. Gilgamesh was afraid since the beggining, he just didnt want to let theelders, the gods and me know how he truly felt. Because as every hero fearless is one of their descriptions. From what I got to see about Gilgamesh he acted like a hero, but wasnt really one. When a herodecides tofight he does it because its necessary, or because it is for the good of his people but Gilgamesh only did it for himself. He wanted to be recognize and honor by everyone. That is not a hero,and as I got to know him each day more and more it started to make sense.
In the battle Gilgamesh almost gave up, he let Humbaba’s words get through his mind. He got weak and started to feel pittyfor someone that he needed to destroy. After the battle I felt happy because I convince Gilgamesh to kill Humbaba, but I also felt deception. Gilgamesh saw that Humababa was about to kill me and...
