Introduction

The aim of this report is assess potential risks in the school area, by examining fire escapes, fire doors and fire fighting equipment. It willconsiderer their effectiveness and provides appropriate safety measures to protect the students and teachers.

Present situation

A lack of safety measure in the schoolareas has increased during the last year also the class sizes have increased, as a result, several accidents involving students have been reported in the last fewmonths. The main problem is the poor existing safety procedure, which has not been updated recently. The fire escape are often blocking for large tables and chairs. Thefire doors and fire fighting equipment are scarce. Not only have increased the number of student in the school but also they do not know what to do en case of fire.People involved in the school are extremely concerned about the fact that this has been ignored.

Purpose of improvements

There are several recommendations in which thesituation could be improved. One would be to establish a fire safety plan in the school in which include actions that eliminate the risk. Also, the fire escape mustbe completely free all the time. The need of install fire door and fire extinguishers in the school, and all the equipment should be checked regularly by the localfire department. Other solution is teaching the staff how to act in case of fire and would be useful encourage students in take part in safety instruction course.Conclusion

With some investment and careful planning, the school could be a safety place and would reduce the risk of accident in the future.
