Research Prohibition

In the United States in the years 1920 to 1933 was created a law called "Prohibition" which was prohibited the manufacture, sale and transportation of alcoholic beverages inthe United States.
It was a law that was approved by 36 of 48 states of the United States. the United States Congress passed the temporary Wartime Prohibition Act, which banned the sale of alcoholicbeverages having an alcohol content of greater than 2.75%, this act was intended to save grain for the war effort and it was approved on November 11, 1918 and the Act came into force on June 30, 1919and July 1, 1919 became known as "Thirst-First", although the sale of wine was prohibited, was not prevented the sale of grape juice, that was used for home production of wine.
The impact of societyat that time was that although it was banned production, sale and transportation of alcohol, the demand grew, and in my opinion the more forbid something, the more demand grows in the state orcountry, as well the persistent demand stimulated the production and sale of liquor favored the underground industry at the same time attracted gangs. A good example of this was Al Capone and other mobbosses who made millions of dollars through illegal trafficking and sale of alcoholic beverages.
However, the ban had to consider exceptions in cases where the doctor who prescribed the use of alcohol asa therapeutic treatment in very specific or religious use of wine in the Eucharist, where those who need the specific consumption of alcohol was very rare, this created that the illegal traderspreviously adulterated alcohol intended for industrial uses, in order to transform it in an alcohol drink.
A popular drug of the time, base on ethanol, called "Jamaica ginger" was amended as liquor,causing serious damage to the health of their consumers.
