Social responsibility, nowadays, is more than an action we need to do not only for the wellness of our relatives and ourselves, but for the whole world. In the18th century, an immense riot started in France because King Louis XVI's lack of responsibility to rule the country in financial and social ways that created an unbalance in the finances of theKingdom. Part of the problem was the King's wife, the Queen Marie Antoinette, who didn’t have any limit on spending, at the end the country couldn’t afford to pay, therefore they chose to raise taxes, andthis was one of the biggest events that lead to French Revolution.
Nowadays, we see millionaires going to prison for fraud and other many things. People avoiding taxes or make a profit out of anillegal action. This is caused by greed, which shall be controlled if the person had an idea of what social responsibility means; “Being Socially Responsible means that people and organizations must behaveethically and with sensitivity toward social, cultural, economic and environmental issues. Striving for social responsibility helps individuals, organizations and governments have a positive impacton development, business and society with a positive contribution to bottom-line results.”

Taking a position of denial to the growing problems that are affecting humanity (environmental pollution, violence, social disorder, loss of principles and values, increaseddepression and more), will be for the entire world the worst catastrophe we’ve ever faced.
