Todo comenzó cuando William Wallace era pequeño , primero mataron a su padre y hermano , y luego años más tarde cuando regreso de vivir con su tío Argai Wallace se reencontró con unaamiga de la infancia con la que se caso la joven Morrón ,días después ella fue asesinada . Esto hizo que Wallace comenzara una guerra por la Libertad de Escocia , primero arraso con las ciudades queestaban cerca de donde todo comenzó , así fue avanzando con sus tropas hasta llegar a York donde le gano la batalla al sobrino del Rey de Inglaterra, aquí el Rey de Longshanks ( Rey Eduardo I ), envió asu nuera la princesa de Francia Isabelle , a que intentara calmar las cosas y llegar a un acuerdo de paz , pero Wallace no acepto .La princesa se entero que era una trampa , y desde aquel momentoayudo a Wallace. pasado un tiempo se prepararon para atacar Falirk y enfrentarse al Rey Ingles pero fue traicionado por los nobles escoceses , Wallace fue mandado a llamar por el Conde Bruce y tomadoprisionero por ordenes del Rey leproso (padre del conde Bruce), fue torturado hasta su muerte , donde minutos antes grito LIBERTAD ... a sus amigos que se mantuvieron en la lucha por su ideal devida.
