The story starts when Mark and Ricky, two young brothers, go to a forest to hide themselves because they want to smoke. They didn’t expect thatthey were going to see a man trying to kill himself. The man was into his car, with all the doors closed and a hose. An end of the hose was into the tail pipe of the car, and the other end was into thecar. The man was trying to suicide with the gasoline fumes. The two kids didn’t know what to do, and finally they decided to above the suicide. When Mark was trying to take the hose out of the car, theman saw him and put the boy into the car with him. Ricky was terrified, because he thought the man wanted to kill his brother too.
The man didn’t want to hurt the boy, he just wanted to talk. Whilehe was telling things about his life to Mark, Ricky took the tube out of the car. After a few minutes the man got drunk and fell asleep. Then, Mark escaped from the car and he hid again with hisbrother.
Suddenly, they saw the man waking up and realizing the hose wasn’t into the car. He put it in again and, finally, he died. The boys saw it and they were frightened, so they went back home. Markcalled the police and noticed them there was a body in the forest. A few minutes later, he went again to the forest, to see what the police was going to do with the body. He was behind a tree but apoliceman saw him and asked him about his name. Mark didn’t want to tell anything to Sergeant Hardy, but the man insisted, so Mark had to tell him who he was and where did he live. The cop drove the boyhome and explained to Dianne, the mother, what had happened. Ricky was in shock, so they called an ambulance.
Hardy knew the boys had seen the man suicide and they knew something else, so hestarted to ask a lot of questions to Mark. Hardy’s boss arrived and told him there were child-size fingerprints in the car, so they took a cola can which Mark had touched a few minutes ago, put it into a...
