Persuasive Essay: Abortion:
The moral Dilema

Is abortion legal? Is it right to have an abortion? Abortion has been a controversy for many years and viewed in many different perspectives. A clinical abortion is the voluntary destruction of the unborn fetus with the use of surgical means or pills. Many women in the entire world have abortions. Women believe there are manyreasons to abort such as fear of having or raising a child, rape, or not having money. But whatever the situation, there is never an acceptable reason to get an abortion. Abortion should not be permitted because is an act of taking human life, adoption is a viable alternative to abortion and an abortion can result in medical complications later in life.

Women need to think about their unbornbabies who are not responsible for this situation. These unborn babies should have the privilege to live and grow into a normal person. Women need to be more humanitarian and less egoistic with these babies. On the other hand, the baby does not know how or why he is here. It is not necessary to kill a life. Some people may argue that when the fetus develops a brain life begins while others holdthat it starts when the baby is born but it does not matter when life starts; it is the concept of taking away the chance for a person to live a full potential life. Abortion goes against religious values. The Christian beliefs are based on the God of their Christian heritage. If you believe in God, there is evidence that we are a human before we are even born. In Jeremiah 1:5 God states, ¨Before Iformed you in the womb I knew you.¨ This implies that we were loved by God before we were born and thus have a soul; having a soul means that you are a human being. Abortion punishes the unborn child who committed no crime; instead, it is the perpetrator who should be punished. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life.

Adoption is areasonable and practicable alternative to abortion accomplishing the same result. S women do not have the opportunity to conceive a child. If you do not want to have your baby because you do not have job or a possibility to maintain your child or you are too young, adoption is the best alternative for the biological mother. There are women that cannot have babies and are desperately to have one because ababy is the most wonderful thing that can happen to any women. Maybe you do not have the possibilities to raise a child but another woman does and is willing to take care of your baby as If it was hers by providing the child an education and values. Why take away a life which can make other people happy? Abortion, of course, greatly reduces the number of children available for adoption. The APstaff writer David Crary says that: Adoptive parents invest more time and financial resources in their children than biological parents.¨ The biological parent may have a difficulty which is the answer to why she does not want to conceive a baby and these difficulty is not seen in the adoptive parents because they feel the need to be a splendid family for the child and love him as if it was of theirown.

An abortion can result in medical complications later in life. The risk of ectopic pregnancies doubles. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg develops into a fetus outside the womb. Ectopic pregnancies are not viable and can lead to rupturing of the women´s tube, internal bleeding, and shock. Surgery is necessary to remove the developing cells in order to repair the damagedtissues. If the ectopic pregnancy is not treated it can endanger the mother´s life. This can happen if the egg is somehow blocked but scarring the fallopian tube is the primary cause. In addition to this, the chances of miscarriage and pelvic inflammatory disease also increase.
