Methodologically speaking both systems have its differences and similarities that makes them culturally suitable for each country; describing each one will make easier to find out whether they aresimilar or different.

The National Accounting System in Mexico (INEGI) bases its methodology system in the SNIEG law article number 88 that says and determines the guidelines for the publication ofmethodologies that INEGI uses to produce national interest information that is regrouped by project and date. These documents constitute the methodological support that has the statistical informationbased on national and international standards such as best practices in the matter.

These methodologies are presented in different modalities such as methodological synthesis, ABC andmethodological notes. It also shows detailed methodologies that are orientated to satisfy the needs of those wanting to lean deeper in the methodology bases of an specific project. This can be classified under astatistic program such as: census (of population, living, government, economics and agricultural), Surveys (Homes, establishments and observation units), Administrative records (economic, social, andvital), such as the National Price Index and the National Accounting System.
On the other hand in USA there are three major elements of the U.S. national economic accounts. The NIPAs display thevalue and composition of national output and the distribution of incomes generated in its production. The other major elements of the U.S. national economic accounts are the industry accounts, which arealso prepared by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), and the flow of funds accounts, which are prepared by the Federal Reserve Board.
