Becoming a writing composition teacher involves big doses of hard work, patience, organizational skills,concentration and these are just a few features of this exhaustive job. A composition teacher invest too much time responding to students writing, underlining and highlighting the moststriking mistakes and strengths, providing critical information to the students’ compositions so that a composition teacher must fulfill some parameters when responding andgiving guidelines to student`s papers, where the change of a response behavior will be a key for the student to understand and take advantage of their writing skills.
Someimplications for this new conception are the replacing of arbitrary comments for text-specific strategies and recommendation; Instead of looking for an ideal writingsstandards, teachers must adopt a flexible standards that takes into account the student`s level, ability and communication skills. Consequently, teachers will need some specialcriteria when responding features as a focus on the content more than accuracy, avoiding personal viewpoints but responding with questions and statements. Teachers must lead tothe students to acquire a strong personal writing through the use of dictionaries, diagnose of some general problems along with the individual errors and work on them in class.Encouraging their self-esteem; pointing theirs strengths, especially something that we usually tend to forget as the final comment. Not just responding to their writingbut also to theirselves, adopting the role of genuine readers that strongly believe that every student has something important to communicate rather than merely evaluators.
