OBEY AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE
I. LIFE CHANGING MOMENTS STARTS WITH THE FIRST STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
A.I think we are all faced with these moments, times when we make a decision that willaffect the rest of our lives. Maybe it is when you decide what collage to go to, or who you will marry, or maybe you are like Ruth and it is the death of a loved one that changed everything, maybeit’s just deciding to hang around the right people or just obeying God’s simple truths today.
In those moments we can make the right decision and do what we know God is telling us to do or not.
Solet’s see what Ruth did….
B. Ruth is happy living in her hometown with her husband. When one day not only her father in law dies but so does her husband and brother in law. In those days when oneshusband died you usually married the next brother. In her case this was not going to happen. So her mother in law said…just stay her and go home with your family. I will just go on to my hometown. Ruth1:8, 11. She even insisted 2 times begging them to just go and finally Orpha the sister in law left. But Ruth said she would stay with her until she died.
II. LIFE CHANGING MOMENTS WILL REQUIERE USTO WORK
A. I know most of us out there are looking for the dream job doing what we think would be wonderful, getting paid with the amount of money we would like. Truth is it is rare to start at thetop…we all have to work our butts off to get there.
B. For Ruth it was just the same. She was such a hard worker and wasn’t even pushed to work…she offered. Ruth 2:1
III. MAKING THE RIGHT DECISIONDURING THOSE LIFE CHANGING MOMENTS PAY OFF
A. When you decide to do what God wants…even in spite of those hard times where you thought it would have been so much easier to just follow the rest ofthe group, or just take the easy way out, or say good bye to that person in your life that is bringing you down spiritually, emotionally, etc. etc. Please know that God will see that and reward...
