So if we say Saddam Hussein , you start thinking, a dictator that took power over Irak 1979 to 2003, but you think that this guy was a badperson, hum, if you are thinking like that, let me say the Saddam Hussein was one of the most important persons in Iraq, not like an hero or a "good president", but he made his way to appear in the Books ofHistory.

Saddam Hussein was the 5th. president of Iraq, he was the president from 1979 to 2003, at first he was one of the leading members of the Arab Socialist Ba´ath Party, thisparty was a regional organization so this was not a powerful party. He reached the power in the July 17th. Revolution, in that days the party was conformed by 2,000 members apox. So at the moment was agood party, the party made something like protons, fliers, etc..

In 1976, Saddam rose to the position of general in the Iraqi armed forces, and rapidly became the strongman of the government. Asthe ailing, elderly al-Bakr became unable to execute his duties, Saddam took on an increasingly prominent role as the face of the government both internally and externally. He soon became the architectof Iraq's foreign policy and represented the nation in all diplomatic situations. He was the de facto leader of Iraq some years before he formally came to power in 1979. He slowly began to consolidatehis power over Iraq's government and the Ba'ath party. Relationships with fellow party members were carefully cultivated, and Saddam soon accumulated a powerful circle of support within the party.So, they sold a common idea, that few people could reach the highest power so the people thought that was the best government, something to live in good conditions, and of course to have enough money tosurvive.
