A book I’ve read recently is called Just good friends. Is it by Penny Hancock. It is a love story. I’ve choose this kind of book because I like more love stories than science fiction novels. It is a romantic book with adult contents.

It’s about a couple who lives in London: Sthepany, a very beautiful language teacher, and Max, a good-looking architect. They aregoing out together four months ago and also they are in love. Stephany has an idea how to spend her holidays very cheap this summer. She explains to his boyfriend that she has a good friend in Genoa who taught English two years ago, and promise her that if she wants she can come to Genoa in his apartment every time to visit him. They are agreeing, and they decided to telephone Carlo, the Stephany’sfriend.
Carlo is married with Ruth and they have two children. Carlo, who is a surveyor, is an Italian handsome boy, and Ruth is from England but she is nice but not very pretty.
Stephany phones Carlo and Ruth take the telephone. It seems that Ruth is happy to the visit of Stephany but the last time she came it wasn’t a happy time. She doesn’t trust Stephany and her husband knows it, but hesays to his wife that she was the woman that he only loves. Stephany was just a good friend.
When Stephany and Max arrive in Genoa, a village next to the sea, they go to the flat that Carlo let us to spend the summer holydays. Next to this apartment they live Carlo’s parents and they receive Steffy and Max. Max is very happy to stay in Genoa and very relaxed, but he wants to pay Carlo forthe apartment because it’s very nice and comfortable; but Steffy doesn’t want because it’s a favour.
The first day that two couples meet is when Carlo, Ruth and our children propose to have a dinner together with Steffy and Max. During the dinner Ruth get angry because Carlo doesn’t pay attention for her big child, only for Steffy. Stephany says to Ruth that she is so luckily to live here,but Ruth doesn’t understand and she believes that Carlo is in love with Stephany. Also Max is jealous because he doesn’t understand that Carlo doesn’t mind that his wife has to look after the children alone in the restaurant. Afterwards, Carlo proposes to go to a party tomorrow the two couples.
The next morning Max is ill. It was so English to be sick in a foreign country. Steffy goes tothe bar and Luigi, the waiter speak s with her but at the first moment she doesn’t recognise. Luigi tell her that he is an old friend of Carlo and he explains to Steffy if she remembers that she and Carlo had an affair in Genoa two years ago, because he knows. Obviously, Carlo was married. Luigi thought that Carlo would let his wife to go with Steffy, but Carlo said to Steffy that it was better todo like it was nothing and be just good friends.
This night Max is ill and Thomas also, the big child of Ruth and Carlo. Ruth can’t come to the party because she has to look after Thomas. Steffy and Carlo go out tonight, and Steffy thinks that is her chance to speak with him about what Luigi has tell her. They don’t go to the party, they go to Bianca Beach and they speak about what happenstwo years ago. Carlo says that it was a mistake, but a few minutes ago they make love in the sand. Is their secret, no one must ever know.
Tomorrow morning, Max meets with Ruth in the market of the village. Ruth realizes about the conversation with him that yesterday night Max didn’t go to the party, and Carlo and Steffy went alone. She is sad. Max asks Ruth two times if Carlo and Steffy were acouple but she says no. Max is more peaceful, and he believes that holidays are going to be better.
Stephany lose her watch but she doesn’t mind. She is worried if Max meets Luigi and the waiter tells the truth to her boyfriend. They decide to go to a different bar. On the other hand, Carlo and Ruth have a bad argument about Steffy. Ruth doesn’t understand why Steffy not tells to Max that...
