Saving Private Rayan

The movie begins with an elderly veteran of World War II. The veteran collapses to his knees in front of a gravestone, overwhelmed with emotion. The scene switches to the start of the invasion ofNormandy, with American soldiers landing on Omaha Beach, struggling against entrenched German infantry, machine gun nests and artillery fire. One of the officers who survived the initial landing, CaptainJohn H. Miller, commander of C Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion, assembles a group of soldiers and slowly penetrates the German defenses, getting off the beach.
Meanwhile, in the United States, GeneralMarshall discovers that three of the four brothers of the Ryan family have died with very few days apart and that the mother will receive all three notices on the same day. Learn the fourth son,Private First Class James Francis Ryan, Baker Company, 506 or Parachute Infantry Regiment is missing in action somewhere in Normandy. After reading a personal letter written by Abraham Lincoln to Mrs.Bixby, General Marshall ordered to find Private Ryan and send him home immediately.
Back in France, Miller receives orders from his battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Walter Anderson, to find Ryan.Miller brings together six of the Rangers in his company, a man Infantry Division, who speaks fluent French and German, to perform that task. With no information on the whereabouts of Ryan Miller andhis men go towards Neuville. On the outskirts of Neuville they meet a platoon from the 101. After entering the city, Caparzo soldier is fatally wounded by a sniper and dies. Then locate a soldiernamed James Fredrick Ryan from Minnesota, but it was a mistake. Are a member of Charlie Company, 506th, who informs them that his drop zone is in Vierville.
