Analyzing Sources
Purpose: A responsible citizen can use historical thinking to develop thoughtful participation in a democratic society. Todevelop your thinking skills you will develop and support a thesis on an historical question based on your analysis of primary and historical narratives.
Directions-
In a cohesive paper you will:Develop a historical question
1. State a position on the question that outlines a reason(s) in support of that position.
2. Provide evidence for you position using two or more of the followingsocial science perspectives:
* Geographic
* Cultural
* Political
* Economic
* Sociological
* Psychological
3. Provide reasons for your position that include
* Anevaluation of how three or more sources, including primary AND secondary sources, support the position on the historical question.
4. Make explicit references within the paper to three or more crediblesources that provide relevant information AND cite sources within the paper and bibliography.
