Radicchio (pronounced rah-DEE-kee-oh) is a leaf chicory (Cichorium intybus, Asteraceae), sometimes known as Italian chicory and is a perennial. It is grown as a leaf vegetable whichusually has white-veined red leaves. It has a bitter and spicy taste, which mellows when it is grilled or roasted and with blue cheese for server.
A Caesar salad is a salad of romaine lettuce andcroutons dressed with parmesan cheese, lemon juice, olive oil, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. It may be prepared tableside.The original Caesar salad recipe (unlike Alex's Aviator's salad)did not contain pieces of anchovy; the slight anchovy flavor comes from the Worcestershire sauce. In saucepan, combine soup, chicken, waterchestnuts, wine, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper; heat through. Fill center of each crepe with a generous 1/3 cup of the chicken mixture. Fold two sides over chicken filling and bake at 325° for 10 to 15minutes.
