Cleopatra:
Cleopatra was a female a Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra’s family had control of Egypt for around 100 years. In 51 B.C., his father died and the throne waspassed to Cleopatra that at that time was only 18 years old and his brother Ptolemy XIII that at that time was only 10 years old. At that time Egypt was having economic problemsand constant floods. After Cleopatra and his brother Ptolemy XIII took power they started to have severe problems between them causing Cleopatra to flee to Syria. She thenassembled an army and went back to Egypt to fight his brother.
Around that time Julius Caesar and Pompey were fighting in Rome. Pompey then fled to Egypt , causing Julius Caesar tofollow him and eventually meet Cleopatra. He quickly fell in love with Cleopatra and now she had enough military power to overthrow his brother from the throne. After taking thethrone she followed Caesar to Rome , but returned to Egypt after his assassination.
After Caesar death Marc Antony was the leader of the empire and he wanted to talk withCleopatra , about his alliance with Caesar. He then had a affair with Cleopatra and decided to join forces against Octavian how wanted control of Rome , in exchange of theEgyptian territory. Cleopatra and Antony’s army couldn’t defeat Octavian in in a sea battle at Actium causing great losses for both armies. Where Cleopatra died , after that Marccommitted suicide by letting a Egyptian Cobra bit him.
