Children in Africa

Most of the people in the world do not know what African children really go thru in their lives, they know that Africans are poor, but they do not see the danger of theirsituation and that they have very serious problems.

The main problem in Africa is that each hour three hundred children die of malnutrition approximately. The 2011 Global Hunger Index found that sixcountries have higher rates of hunger today than two decades ago. Five of those countries are in Africa[1], and people from other continents do not mind, because they have not seen their economic issuesand natural problems, they do not understand what is really occurring in Africa, they believe that it is not their problem, but helping would not hurt them. Karin Lapping, a senior director ofnutrition for Save the Children, said that many Africans countries have not made the same commitment that other Asian countries done, and been victims of predictable cycles of famine and drought.

In Africathere is a terrible and horrifying business that is child sacrifice in which it consists in the killing, mutilation or removal of the body parts of a child for ritual practices, sale or witchcraftUnfortunately this terrible crime of violence has been increasing in Uganda over the last few years. In 2010 alone there was 26 officially recorded cases of child sacrifice in Uganda. But research hasrevealed that close to 3,000 children disappear from their homes each year[2]. ''Child sacrifice has risen because people have become lovers of money. They want to get richer''. Says Pastor PeterSewakiryanga, and he is teaching to local children about ending child sacrifice with songs. It is very hard for many parents that their children have to leave their houses to school, work, or any otherplaces, because they are not sure if they will ever come back.
