Selena Marie Gomez[nota 1] (n. Grand Prairie, Texas, Estados Unidos; 22 de julio de 1992)[1] es una actriz de cine y televisión, cantante, filántropa, diseñadora de moda y embajadora de buena voluntad de la UNICEF estadounidense. Su carrera actoral inició a temprana edad, interpretando a Gianna en la serie de televisión Barney & Friends,[5]posteriormente, de 2007 a 2012 interpretó el papel protagónico de la serie original de Disney Channel ganadora del Emmy: Wizards of Waverly Place.[6] [5]
En 2008, firmó un contrato con la discográfica Hollywood Records,[7] formando con ella la banda Selena Gomez & The Scene, con la cual ha publicado tres álbumes de estudio: Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010) y When the Sun Goes Down...
