Selena Marie Gomez is a singer and an actress, too. She was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas, United States. Her father, Ricardo Joel Gomez isMexican and her mother, Amanda Dawn Teefey, is Italian-American. Her parents divorced when Selena was five and her mother has remarried with Brian Teefey.Selena's first experiences as a singer were given in his participation in the television series Barney & Friends, in which she sings some of his scores. In2006, she recorded the soundtrack for the Brain Zapped, for the television series of the same name, where Selena was the protagonist. After her firstexperiences as an actress in the Disney series, Gomez proceeds to record songs for Walt Disney Records.
In 2008, Gomez signed a record deal with Hollywood Records,a label founded by Disney, trying new ways to stop recording music soundtracks for Walt Disney Records and she has formed a band called Selena Gomez & TheScene
In February 2012, she has stated that retires from music for a while to pursue his acting career.
She has three albums Kiss & Tell, A Year Without Rainand When the Sun Goes Down.
She has done three tours Selena Gomez & The Scene: Live in Concert, A Year without Rain Tour and We Own the Night Tour, on thislast tour came to Peru.

She has won some prizes in The Teen Choice Awards how best simple by Who Says, best band, best love song by Love You Like a Love Song.
