(Self- introduction)

I am Armida M. Melgar. I live in an apartment in North Bergen with my husband, my mother and my twobrothers. I am a student. I have classes four times a week and I work in a SPA on weekends.

I am 24 years old. I was born in San Miguel which is thesecond most important city in El Salvador. I spent 21 years of my life in El Salvador before I moved to United States. My first year in the U.S wasdifficult, I started taking English classes at language’s school in the morning and I used to work in the afternoon. I couldn’t finish the English schoolbecause I had to earn money to help my mother. At the end of 2011 I took classes at beauty school and I got a manicurist license.

I got married on March23, 2012. After I got married and found a better job, I felt it was the time to go back to school and build a better future for my family and I.

Iam a serious person, but I enjoy having a good time with my family and friends. I think one of my strongest qualities is bravery because when I felt onthe floor I always had the courage to start again. Honesty, to me is one of the most important qualities that’s why I try all the time to be honest withthe people who is around me. I’m also responsible with my obligations especially with my family, my school and my job.

In conclusion, I am normalgirl with qualities and defects, I am not perfect but every single day when I wake up, I try to keep in mind that every day is an opportunity to be better.
