EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1.1PROJECT SUMMARY The run of mine ore at Minera San Cristobal consists of two main ore types: a fine sticky sedimentary ore and a harder blocky intrusive ore. The fine stickysedimentary ore makes up 70% of the total feed to the plant and the difficult handling properties were not anticipated in the original plant design. The finesgreatly impede the flow of materials in the primary crusher dump pocket; a front end loader is permanently stationed near the pocket to push material into the pocket aftereach truck load. Fluor was contracted to study the feasibility of a material separation station that allows the fines to be separated and bypass the primary crusher. The design consists of a fines separation station to be installed ahead of the primary crusher. Dump trucks will unload directly to a grizzly screen where the fines (
