Describe any volunteer, extracurricular activities, or work experience in which you are or have been involved in the past two years.
Some of the extracurricular activities that I’ve been involved inthe past two years are sports, leadership at my school and volunteering at a church in my community. With a group of friends I decided to start a soccer team in my community, I enjoy being active andhealthy and I believed that would be a good way to do it. I practiced it every week, it was a good way to have fun and spend my time with my friends. I also was involved in leadership at my schoolwhere we were taught how to help other students in different aspects such as home issues, making friends or being social and also in academics for example, how to study for the CASHEE and SAT. Lastly Ihad been volunteering in a church in my community by helping to take care of the kids and welcoming parishioners.

I would like to attend college because I want to become a professional in child development. I chose this major because I have a great passion teaching and helping littlekids. I want to show them that any goal isn’t impossible in life if you have the courage and put the enough effort to reach them. One of the people that have influenced and motivated me to attendcollege is my grandmother. She’s being a source of inspiration for me. She would always be there fighting for her ideals and goals. She would always ask me to never stop doing what I want, that there’s notany barrier that I can go through if I do it with passion and strength. I also want to help my family with economic issues.
