The passion fruit is original from Brazil and it’s cultivated in several tropical and subtropical regions from America. This exotic fruit has developed a new international market over the world. (1)Looking fast at the market, looking too at the external customer behaviors and how the demand is increasing abroad. We have considered this business necessary to satisfy the demand outside thecountry.
The purpose of this project will demonstrate how useful could be the exportation of this fruit favoring the relationship between Equator and Singapore, even when it exists the exportation of 17items with free on board (FOB) giving us advantage to introduce a new product on this market.
This project will be managed directly with IMPORTADORA SALCEDO, a company who has worked 12 years in thenational market selling different products (fruits) to many closer countries and nowadays, we would like to propose them a new market to develop in which they can export the Passion Fruit and getbenefits from this product and its consummation.
PASSION FRUIT
Maracuya is also known as passion fruit, chinola, parcha and parchita or passionflower. This is a climbing plant of the genus Passiflora,native subtropical regions of America are grown commercially in most tropical and subtropical areas of world, such as Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica,Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, parts of the Caribbean and United States.
The passion fruit is round to oval, either yellow or dark purple at maturity, with a soft to firm, juicy interior filled with numerousseeds.
The two types of passion fruit have clearly differing exterior appearances. The bright yellow variety of passion fruit, which is also known as the Golden Passion Fruit, can grow up to thesize of a grapefruit, has a smooth, glossy, light and airy rind, and has been used as a rootstock for the Purple Passion Fruit in Australia.
