Economic Prospects for the second half of 2012 and 2013

After a difficult ending of 2011, current 2012 has been keyto Mexico's economic future, not only in the political scenario because of the Mexican President Elections but also in economic terms where Mexico has been immersed in a difficult international situation in which it´s necessary to support growth and domestic market.

Complex International Environment

As never before, any economic projection that can be given for the results on 2012 and 2013depends on nature and timing events. Therefore, if uncertain economic forecasts are complex, in current circumstances it´s impossible to make an accurate judgment.

The most important factor is the decision of economic policy related to the debt crisis in the Eurozone and the USA fiscal policy.

According to data issued by the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) fromwhich Mexico is active member, filed in the global economic outlook and prospects based on a sensible scenario, monetary policy remains expansionary world therefore, reference rates will remain at levels low and policy makers take steps to avoid the credit crunch, bank failures and excessive systemic fiscal constraints.
