Skellig essay

In this novel there are many different points of views, and I’m going to explain you some of them.
I would argue that school isseen like a positive thing in this novel because you make friends with your classmates. “What’ll she do for mates, though? … And who would like to be stuck at home all day “. This quotation was saidby a friend of a Michael. By saying this he shows that you must go to school to make friends and rest from being at home.

I also say that it is seen like a positive thing because it is a healthyway of getting distracted if any dramatic event is going on at home. This is shown when an adult said to Michael; “I think you need to football... I think you need to go to school again...Too muchinside the house.” Because he is convinced that the ambient at home isn’t the best for Michael, and school could be a way of getting has thoughts away from home and the baby.

Another thing that showsschool like something positive are people trying to understand each other. “It´s cos he’s been ill”. This is how we can know about how supportive they are at school. They are not blaming him; theyare trying to be comprehensive with him. Just as he needed.

However, school is not totally seen as a positive thing all the times by all the people. To support this point I’m going to write twoquotes. 1st one; “‘What colour is a blackbird?’, she said. ‘Black.’ ‘Typical.’ I think she says typical because not everyone has the special care of observing careful whatever is around them, and mostpeople don’t take the time to think the words that’ll came out from their mouths.

2nd one; “‘See how school shutters you ... I’m feeling the sun and the air on my skin ... I’m opening my mind. Ha!...
