We all probably think that the world businesses are moved by thehuge and
famous companies like Coca Cola, Wal-Mart and AT&T but certainly the
billions of dollars that this companies produce aren’t the base of our
economy; SMEs are the key of all this cycle, theexporting and nonexporting SMEs represent the 98% of our economy I’m pretty sure that none
of them produce handles billions of dollars but all together have become
into the world’s economy motor.There are some recommendations from the authors of the article to
increase your business earnings and make successful your SME either if it’s a
family SME or a non-exporting one.
For familynon-exporting SME we should consider 5 key aspects to increase
the earnings, the experience that could have the owner or administrator is
really important because they can analyze in a better the business,the
owner or administrator should also have good skills to relate with people,
the environment on the workplace is also critical but hostility might blur all
the achievements that the SME canachieve, the owner should also have
knowledge of merchandise and he can’t refuse to have some external
advice to improve their SME’s performance. It’s important to mention that
family SME’s owners workharder and analyse more their moves because
they plan to inherit the business one day to the next generations.
However for the exporting SME we must consider two recommendations, as
owners oradministrators we should develop our merchandising skills and
constantly look for external advices.
As we can see on both cases the owner’s or administrator’s skill are
fundamental to increase theearnings of SMEs, and it’s true because they
are the leaders of the business and they should become a role model for
