TYPICAL FOOD: As with their other culturalevents, cuisine of Colombia varies across regions: Antioquia, coastal, cundiboyacence, Tolima-Opita, Nariño, Santander,peaceful, vallunos, plains and Amazon. Although there is no consensus on a single dish that represents theentire Colombian cuisine, the arepa stand and stew as the most representative. Other regional dishesfeatured are the bandeja paisa, chili Bogota, Tolima and suckling pig nicknamedcoastal cheese, amongothers.
The main elements of the Colombian diet are root vegetables, particularly potatoes,cassava and yams, meats such as beef, chicken, pork,fish and other forest animals(wild) by region, cereals, mainly maize and rice, vegetables like onion, garlic, peppersand tomatoes, fruits such as bananas or banana, watermelon or watermelon, passion fruit, legumes such as beans, peas, lentils and chickpeas .Colombia has a wide variety of fruits, many considered exotic, common in forests andfields in Colombia. The climate and geography also favor a wide variety of crops andspecies of fish both freshwaterand seawater.
ATTIRE: The costume used in the Sanjuanero, Huila typical dance is for women: a white blouse and cut tray, surrounded by rings, developed in lace andlace, adorned withsequins, a fitted and zippered back adjustment.
The male costume is simpler, but equally important: handmade hat, shirt with open collar, push button centered below, originally white, curly in the front and decorated withsequins and lace, the presses pants are white or black . Costume accessories includethe tail of the cock or silk or satin scarf and red leather belt.
