The Lion King

The story is based on the play Hamlet, by the English writer, William Shakespeare. It begins presenting the animals, the Lion King of the jungle, Mufasa, andhis family, after the birth of his son, Simba. Mufasa takes care of his wife and his son and governs the jungle, but he has a brother: Scar, who is jealous of Mufasa’s power.Scar, helped by some hyenas makes a plan to kill Mufasa and Simba, unfortunately he gets killing Mufasa and Simba escapes filling guilty. Scar takes the chance, occupies Mufasa’sthrone and becomes the king. Simba walks for a long time until he meets Timon and Pumba, a pair of friends that help and feed him. Simba, Timon and Pumba stay together for years andSimba grows.
One day, Simba finds another lion in the jungle, Nala, Simba’s best friend when they were cubs, and she explains him that Scar is the new king and that conditionsare very bad for all the animals. First, Simba doesn’t want to go back to home but then he meets Rafikki, a monkey who was Mufasa’s friend and convinces Simba of fighting for thethrone and saving the other animals in the reign. Nala, Timon and Pumba offer their support and they travel to Simba’s homeland.
Simba returns to his home and when he sees theway Scar treats his mother he starts fighting with him to protect her and to recover his reign, but Scar makes Simba feel guilty about Mufasa’s death and when he is going to winthe fight he confesses Simba he planned killing Mufasa and Simba reacts and defeats him.
In the end, Scar falls during the fight and hyenas attack him because they didn’t getwhat he promised to them. Simba becomes the new king, he marries Nala, they have a cub, and their friends Timon and Pumba stay there and they live all together in harmony again.
