Hello my name is Lucía Alexander and now I’m going to talk about my instrument: the violin. My best hobby is music

INTRODUCTION:

WHAT IS A VIOLIN?

The violin is acord instrument. It makes sound thanks to the bow that’s made of tensed horse tail hair. The violin has four cords. It is the smallest cord instrument. I play for my music school orchestra together withother cord instruments like: violoncello, violas and of course other violins! The difference between them is their size.

MY MUSIC BACKGROUND:

When I was little I was always interested in playing amusical instrument. One day my Mum came and asked me if I wanted to choose an instrument to play, and finally I chose the violin.
For two whole years, a teacher came to my home to give me violinlessons, and finally I got a place in my music school that is called Can Ponsic.
Since then, I go each Monday and Wednesday 4 hours a day.
When I play the violin it makes me think of beautiful things, themusic takes me into a different world…

WHAT KIND OF PERSON CAN PLAY A VIOLIN?
If you want to play the violin you need to be a really disciplined person because it needs lots of calm and attention.You also have to be really responsible because you need to take good care of your instrument.
You also need to practice a lot, to get better and better.
If you start when you little, it is easier tolearn and helps you with other abilities.

WHY IS IT MY BEST HOBBY?
It is my favourite hobby because the violin, is a really fascinating instrument, and also very interesting. You can do loads of thingslike: short notes, long notes, different movements…
I think the violin is better than the violoncello because the sound is very sharp and it is smaller which makes it easier to transport.
I also enjoyplaying the violin with my orchestra… There are lots of violins playing and it is amazing the way that we can all cooperate together.
