Socrates & Plato

Socrates, Plato’s mentor, was a Greek Athenian philosopher. Plato was a Classical Greek philosopher, mathematician, writer of philosophical dialogues, and founder of the Academy in Athens. Socrates and Plato are both philosophers of an age in which people where narrow minded.
The biggest problem Socrates and Plato had been living. The had thought about life so much, and about people so much that they had difficulties dealing with humanity. Socrates and Plato had found the answer to every discussion, as seen in the videos. Problem with that is that everything has questioning, everything is relative and yet it’s objective. Socrates and Plato where not appreciated and where mistreated. Society back then is as unforgiving and immature as today. When we look atsociety today we see so much wrong. Killing and mistreating. People don’t walk on sidewalks just so they don’t have to deal with walking into someone. They rather walk on the street and get hit by a car than walk on the sidewalk. People no longer say good morning when they walk into a place. Men no longer act courteous with woman in fear of rejection and mistreat from the woman. Women don’t acceptcourteous from men because they think that the man is looking for something. Everyone is trying to live a solitary life. Nobody wants to identify themselves with anyone, because they feel that their life is the important one and everyone else’s is just a waste of time. People rather have everything easy instead

of working for their dreams, and the society is pushed into having to work on whatbrings money in, instead of what they love or their dreams. The society does not help people reach their dreams. Socrates and Plato told people what people did not want to hear. People knew and understood what Socrates and Plato where talking about, but they wanted to ignore it, and act like if they ignore them, they can act like nothing was said at all. The reality is that today is the same.People know everything is going down in the world, and they know that it’s the reality, but they rather ignore the reality and live in their own world, they think that if they don’t think about it, all the problems with vanish. Everyone is in denial. Without talking about the part of society that rather live in lies than in what is real. They rather live from appearances and live with debt than livethe reality of their lives.
The big question is what people are waiting for in order to live true lives. Another huge problem is the material world. People think the more they have the better they are, and that ruins everything. People live in a competitive world, and originally that is not bad, but the way people think about it and act on it turns into a completely different game of life. Peoplewill do whatever it takes to have more, from enter into debts to have the latest car, buy clothe, wear them and then take it back to the store, just so they can be seen wearing something different every time. What kind of world do we live in, where is one celebrity dies, a nation is put on hold, but millions of people in the world, sleep on the floor and die every second and the nation does notbother to move a finger. People fear each other, and that is why nobody trusts in anyone, and we cannot blame them, the world in which we live is not trustworthy. People want to know how much you care

before they start caring, they are not going to take the risk that they care for you and then you don’t care for them. Socrates and Plato would be left in shock if they found out that the world inthe 21th century is still as immature as back in their time. People now kill themselves over little leafs that get them to a uncontrollable state of mind, that people still kidnap others in order to get money or to take control over others, it’s like living in the barbaric ages. It’s incredible how we live in a world where the biggest rate of suicide is in a place where people can move on in...
