Hypotesis

If the box is darker, then the heat of the light will be attracted to the box.

Problem Statement:

To get more heat, we useblack cardboard to absorb the heat, aluminum paper to bounce the light to the thermometer, plastic wrap so that the heat will stay in the box,and lastly, a small hole at the top of the box to put the light in, this way not much warmth will leave the box.

Independent VariableDesign of the box

Dependent Variable

Temperature of the box

102º

Note: First we open the box and the temperature was 70º. Then we closed it and we turned the lightback on. We waited five minutes to check the temperature again by opening the box again, at this point (9:59am), the temperature was 100º. Wewaited another five minutes hoping to see another big increment in the temperature. However, we only saw a change of 2º, which was surprisingsince from the first to second trial, the temperature increased by 30º

Conclusion:
The experiment was reliable, the longer the light was in thebox, the warmer the thermometer would get. The experiment was also accurate, all the time that we checked, the temperature went up. Theexperiment was not constant. We only did one trial. The experiment was not precise because all the temperature measures were not around the same growth.
