The first time I went to my grandpa’s friend field
This is a day I hope I will never forget. It was so fun, but so many weird thingshappened on that trip that it was really an awkward experience. I got the chance to meet new types of people. I also learned many different things on the field, work related things. One thing Ilearned out on the fields is that a beginner can’t beat a master at dominoes. Anyway my experience started after we got there by car.
The people that were working on the fields came to greet us at thattime. I was 10 years old at the time and those men looked like giants. Nevertheless we were treated kindly by them and that made me feel really happy. What I couldn’t believe though was that the peoplestopped working to come to greet us, because of this I thought that my grandpa’s friend made them do that, or that they really were nice people. After they finished greeting us one of the men showedus, the way to my grandpa’s friend house, which was right in the middle of the field.
When we got there we were greeted by an old man, who I guessed was my grandpa’s friend, and his family. The oldman said: “I am Juan Morales, and this is my family. We welcome you to our home”. They seemed to be nice people and they even had children around my age, which was cool. We went inside the house andthere was a lot of food on the table. All of it looked delicious and they said we could dig in. After we finished, they said they would show us around the field in a minute, so while we waitedsomething caught my eye.
It was a very big black dog. I was intrigued by it so I went outside the house and started to get close to it. When the dog saw me, he started running towards me, pushed me to theground and started to lick me all over my face. I know he was playing but it was still disgusting.
