During summer, take light, summer clothes (shorts, dresses, lighttrousers, T shirts and sandals) and an umbrella for summer thunder showers. The evenings can be cooler so bring a sweater or light jacket along. During winter, long sleeves, jerseys, jackets, shoes andsocks are needed. An umbrella is needed if you're visiting the western Cape during South Africa's winter months - May through September.
