Google Inc. is the owner of the Google brand, whose main product is the search engine in Internet content the same name.

The engine is the result of the doctoral thesis of Larry Pageand Sergey Brin (two PhD students in Computer Science from Stanford University) to improve search on the Internet. Coordination and advice were due to Mexican Hector Garcia Molina, thendirector of the Laboratory for Computer Science from the same Stanford University. [3] The domain "Google" was registered on September 15, 1997. [4] Based on the project completed, Page and Brinfounded, the September 4, 1998, the company Google Inc., [5] that opens in Internet search engine on 27 September following (considered the anniversary date). They had a server with 80CPU, two routers and HP. [6] This search engine outperformed the other more popular at the time, AltaVista, which was created in 1995.

Contaban con un servidor con 80 CPU, y dos routers HP.[6] Este motor de búsqueda superó al otro más popular de la época, AltaVista, que había sido creado en 1995.
