This procedure applies to Marquip Liquid Knives* with the Exit Roll Controller
(ERC) system. The following cards are supported by this procedure.
Pull Exit Control Card--Part Numbers: 9439836, 9454010,or 9454026.
ERC Card----------------Part Numbers: 9454070 or 9454092
NOTE: *Refer to Appendix A if setup is to be applied to an Air Knife.
DECC DRY END CONFIGURATION - KNIFE
1. Select Test and Maintenance from the OIC Main Menu.
2. Select Machine Configuration from the Test and Maintenance Menu.
3. Select Dry End from the Machine Configuration Menu.
4. Move to Dry End Speed Calibrationpage.
5. Leave Knife Calibration unchanged.
6. Set the Knife Offset to 0.00.
7. Set the Knife Overspeed to 1.00.
8. Download the new values.

PULL AND EXIT ROLL SETUP
NOTE: During this procedure all levels have to besetup simultaneously. Try
to match the Pull Roll speeds on all levels since the Knife Configuration
values are not level specific.
1. Remove the end cover or plug from the Pull Roll and Exit Roll motors to
expose the rotor shafts.
NOTE: Roll speeds must be measured with a hand tachometer on the end of the
rotor shaft. Use the following formula to convert from line speed in MPM
(FPM) to rollspeed in RPM.
Roll Speed (RPM) = 2.11063 x Line Speed (MPM)
= 0.64338 x Line Speed (FPM)
2. Run the line at maximum speed or 305 MPM (1000 FPM), whichever is slower.
Adjust the Knife Calibration on the Dry End Speed Calibration page until
the voltage measured at TP1 is as follows. Download the value after each
change.
TP1 = (Line Speed in MPM x 0.02264) volts
or
TP1 = (Line Speed in FPM...
