 Position ID: MV-ECW051712B Job Category: Engineering Type: Full Time,Employee Minimum Education: Bachelor's DegreeSr. Controls Engineer  Responsibilities: The Controls Engineer will contribute at a very senior level to the development of our client’s complex tele-roboticsystems.  Responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of controls, kinematics, and robotics algorithms. Additional responsibilities include systems analysis, design, and testing activitiesat the system level as well as at the component level.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to participate at both the architectural level and at the detail level as a hands-oncontributor.  The candidate must have the ability to make sound technical decisions, prioritize project deadlines, and follow up with critical items.
Qualifications:  * Solid software engineering andprogramming background, with experience in team application development required * Medical device experience a strong plus * Software development experience in C++ * Experience in mechanicalsystems dynamic modeling, analysis or synthesis * Experience with systems modeling and data analysis tools required * Experience with Matlab a strong plus * Experience with robotics modelingincluding 3D transformations, forward and inverse kinematics a plus * Experience developing electro-mechanical products; robotics experience is desirable * Hands on experience with electro-mechanicalsystem components, including sensors, actuators, signal conditioning and data acquisition electronics * Hands on experience implementing and debugging real-time systems a plus * Must have stronganalytical and problem solving skills, as well as a background in the product development process * Strong communications and people skills * Comfortable working with and seeking optimum solutions...
