Stereotypes is an image about people to share like: beliefs, abilities and characteristics,
The society does stereotypes according their beliefs and thoughts. Sadly this is a negativeway.
stereotypes are in whole parts in our life such as: politic, religion, school, beauty contest, or people in rehab like double A, or people in rehab for neurotic people, etc. in fact in eachgroup we find points of view about the absolute truth about the others groups.
At the beginning of the time we have social class next to the religion (whatever religion) that is a big factor in thesociety and a controversial topic where the people were divided.
There are many examples daily that show us the stereotypes, day by day According with the commercials on TV, magazines, internet,newspaper are telling us how we need to dress, think, eat and how we have to live! And whole of these are stereotypes again.
Studying languages at university, I’ve found cases of stereotypes so strong andit’s difficult to change our minds at the beginning. I am noticing like individuals we have a way of view about others cultures and also people have a way of view about us. This case is at the mosttime bad, because the most of the time we have a wrong idea about the others cultures. One example is when you ask to somebody how do you imagine a French person? Probably the answer is: a French personis tall, thin, with a hat and striped shirt (red and white) so if you ask to confirm this idea to a native probably you will have an answer like: the French people don’t even wear a hat like in thecartoon.
May be stereotypes have become in an important part in our life, since we were children; we were educated to have preconceived ideas about people. Since our childhood we are growing with thedifference about women and men, about the things that are correct and incorrect to girls and boys. We observed always women take after their children at home however we never see men at home take...
