Apple & Steve Jobs- Is Apple synonymous to Steve Jobs? It pretty much is, and that is the true hallmark of its creator and nourisher, Steve Jobs. Stock prices and market performances of largerglobal companies too often dependant on factors more than just its leaders, but Apple’s culture, product innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, market performance and recognition are hugely reflective ofits mentor’s personality. Apple, in many ways is a reflection of Jobs- Simple in design (aesthetics), product focus, solid intersection of art & science (apps), shrewd and competitive. It isinteresting to read, in the book, comments of heads of other companies such as Sony, Dell and Motorola on Apple as a Company, and how they form opinion of Apple on the basis of their impression of SteveJobs. Apple has no great record as a great team, cohesive-culture or organization which is again quite reflective of Steve Jobs as an individual who could hardly forge any strong ties with anybody otherthan family. Steve Jobs influence on Apple was also reflective in the last years of Steve’s life where the biggest selling point for Company, for share holders, was Steve Jobs rather than Apple’sinnovative products. And this is the very question that media and people around the World are now asking of Apple- What after Steve Jobs? Will Apple be able to carry its legacy?
