Stop Melting The Poles
Can you imagine if the islands and coast cities disappear under the water? Well, that’s what can happen if we continue polluting the Earth. Since 40 years ago the ice of thepoles is melting. This phenomenon has become a dangerous environmental issue because of its serious effects. Humans are the main responsible, but also the main affected. The melting of the poles isthe most difficult problem that society is facing today. It’s important to find a solution right now, because then it would be too late.
North and South Poles are a beautiful natural resource, wherediverse animal species such as polar bears and seals live. However with the increasing depletion of the ozone layer, the global warming and pollution, their habitat can disappear. The ozone layer holepermit that the Sun reflects directly in the poles. This has caused the reduction of 40% of the ice in the Artic and Antarctic during the last 40 years; this means that if gas emissions continue, theNorth Pole will disappear for the summer of 2040. But this it’s not the only effect, because also the sea level will increase, there will be a change in the weather, with further storms, flooding,and the lost of animal species. However there are many people who believe the melting of the poles it’s not a real issue, they argue the effects are not that serious and nothing will happen. The truthis that the polar ice cap is getting thinner, and every year the temperature in the poles is higher. This is a real problem, and the effects are being dangerous for the entire world.
It’s importantto stop the melting of glaciers, because it’s a serious environmental issue that can have dangerous effects. We have to find a solution before its too late. We must stop pollution, recycle what weuse, save natural resources and be more responsible every day. The world is our and we have to take care of it, if something happen we would be the main affected. Let’s stop the melting of the poles...
