All human beings are used to communicate to each other, even animals have a way to express themselves and according to the website called Education and Career Information Portal, a language is a system which allows people to exchange sounds, symbols, ideas, thoughts, and words in expressing a meaning. This system has many forms, oral, written, and using expressionsthrough body language. The origin of language has no much evidence but according to John Smith it came into existence from 3000 B.C. and was adopted by the nomads of West Asia and Eastern Europe.
English is one of those systems use to communicate around the world, it is a Germanic language of the Indo-European family which was brought to Britain by the Germanic settlers in the 5th century (Angles,Saxons and Jutes). The name English came from the Angles settlers who had that name from Engle, their land of origin, and their language was Englisc from which the word, English appear (English Language Website).
This language was divided into three periods; Old English referring to the dialects spoken by the invaders who dominated the original Celtic-speaking, later it was influenced by theNorth Germanic language Norse, spoken by the Vikings; this period ended with the Norman Conquest. The second period is the Middle English for the 300 years following the Norman Conquest in 1066, where the kings spoke a variety of French called Anglo-Norman, as a result, a huge number of its words were acquired into the Old English. Finally, the last period is the Modern English from the 15th century,which was constantly assimilating words from other languages, such as Latin and Greek.
English is the principal language in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and it is the second most spoken language in Earth with 380 million of native speakers and 300 million people use it as a second language. Also, English is very relevant nowadays because it is used inscience, computing, aviation, politics, tourism, and so on (English Language Website).

2.2 Learning – Teaching Process

According to the University of Wisconsin (2005), learning teaching is a process that includes many variables; those variables interact as learners assimilate new knowledge, behaviors and skills. For that reason several theories of learning have been created, such as:Behaviorist Theory, Cognitive Theory, and Constructivist Theory. Nowadays, those theories should be consider as a whole due to different factors or variables related to this process, one can mention learning styles, and diverse cultural backgrounds. Therefore, your learning style is influenced by cognitive, psychological and socio-cultural factors.
University of Westminster (n.d.), states that theCognitive style describes how the individual acquires knowledge and how one processes information; it also describes the personality dimension that influences attitudes, values and social interaction. There are five models for cognitive styles, such as: Kolb’s model, Honey- Mamford’s model, Gregoric model, Seagal/Honne model and Howard Gardener’s model (multiple intelligences).
According to University ofWestminster (n.d.), Psychological styles describe the level at which our deepest personality traits shapes the orientations we take towards the knowledge of the world, there are four different styles in this category: Myers-Briggs style, Reasoning styles, According to three senses style, and Analytic vs. Global.
There is one style left, called Socio- cultural style which describes how theinteraction of the learner with the teacher and other learners influences the learning process. Besides that, it studies the differences between male and female, younger and older learners. In this style there are several models, some of them are: according to maturity, Antony Grasha/Shery Riechman model, and according to different cultures.
