INTRODUCTION

This work contains basic information about the research on how native Spanish speaker use the conditional or another verb forms instead of the subjunctive. In thiswork, there are certain instruments that will help us to prove or dismiss our assumptions; also, this work contains the sampling procedure, and how we will collect the data in order to analyze the information that we will obtain during this process. In this work, we will expose the different ways in which Spanish speakers talk, and how in their common talk they express those structures without beingaware of their use. With the implementation of certain instruments, we will be able to carry out our research so that our findings will be based on real facts. We will base our research on how average Spanish speakers talk, and we will see if they use the structures that are under investigation. We will choose the persons randomly in order that we will see the patterns of talking of nativeSpanish speakers. Through this research we want to analyze how we, native Spanish speakers, produce language, and how we use the studied structures without noticing it.

JUSTIFICATION

Language is a way of communication used since ancient times. The main purpose of language is to convey a meaning that can be understood by people. Sometimes, the misuse of some structures and words can beunnoticed. People tend to imitate the way in which some people talk, and this may form a misconception about how the language is used.

That is why, it is essential to find out if some structures in our native language, Spanish, are correctly used.  The use of the conditionals or another verb form instead of the subjunctive is the main matter in our research. The main purpose of this research isto provide truthful and dependable knowledge about the way in which people use the subjunctive.

With this recollection of data, the researchers from the Syntax class will clarify some doubts about the use of the subjunctive. And the results will be studied in the future for further information about why people tend to use or misuse the language.

* To determine what verb form or conditional is used more frequently or commonly instead of the subjunctive.

SCOPE

Sampling procedure
This research will be carried out in the Western Multidisciplinary Campus of the University of El Salvador, and will take as samplesubjects an amount of 20 persons randomly chosen.

Data collection Procedure
Research Technique:
Field research technique  

In our research, a poll will be conducted using a questionnaire to be answered by the sample subjects. then, the gathered data will be processed to get the final results that will be plotted in graphs for further analysis.

The questionnaire will be structured in a wayin which the sample subjects will choose among multiple choices the one they consider is right for them. Of course, the questions will be based on the target topic and oriented to the attainment of the established objectives.
