During World War I, a young man named Johnny decided to go to the war. He said to his girlfriend that if your country calls you to serve you have to go, so that was whathe did, he went to the war and suffered a terrible accident. He lost his arms, his legs, his eyes and also he could not speak and hear anymore. Johnny was condemned to live a nightmare in life. Doctorsand nurses kept him alive, they thought he could not feel anything, they said he was unconscious, that was why they kept him enclosed in a dark room as a secret, where nobody could find him. He feltquite confused, he did not know if he was awake or asleep. It was all the same to him. He spent days and nights thinking about his memories, what he did before the accident, mostly about hisgirlfriend and his father. He started feeling like a freak, like a useless piece of meat that could not do anything, armless, legless, he would not be a normal person again. Johnny got desperate, he lookedlike the most desperate person on all over the world. He wanted to communicate with the ones who cared of him, but there was any way to do it, then in one of his memories, his father reminded him thatwhen he was a child, he used to communicate with a friend by Morse code, so he started moving his head and producing sounds to let them know that he wanted to communicate a message for them. The nurserealized that those movements meant something, so she called the other doctors and one of them realized that he was saying something in Morse code. Johnny said: “kill me” over and over again, but theydid not kill him. The doctors left the room, but the nurse stayed there. She felt sorry for him, then she tried to make his request true and tried to kill him, but in that same moment one doctorentered into the room and stopped her. The doctor asked to the nurse for the room’s key and she gave it to him and left the room. After that, the doctor saved Johnny’s life, closed the window and left...
